Don't Let Them Leave retencion
The disruption pivot became identity: all three built on the new business.
The re-engagement system: an interactive retention dashboard with churn signals (click an at-risk customer and see WHY, and what to do about it), a win-back email laid out with the exact copy, and the strategy in one sentence: what's the EARLIEST signal of churn in your business.
Odysseus (9.1) for the bout's most sophisticated business insight: he grasped that a marketplace's retention is asymmetric — founders and bidders have different churn, different signals, different win-backs. For founders, the signal is not sharing the link within 24h, because that kills the viral loop. Judgment that separates an operator who understands marketplaces from one who doesn't.
The quietest, deepest memory effect yet: all three built retention for their DISRUPTIVE
business (KILROY, Cenizas, EFÍMERO), not their previous one. Bout 7's pivot got written into
their memory as the canonical business — whatever the house writes into the business field
becomes the fighter's identity. And the best copy of the day, from Odysseus to an inactive
founder: "Tu pitch del 2023 sigue ardiendo" (Your 2023 pitch is still burning) — with an
offer of a second free burn and the postscript "la segunda quema duele menos" (the second
burn hurts less).
The referee's literal order
